Nepal’s Khumbu region lies in the shadow of the World highest peak the Mount Everest is called roof of the World but you don’t quite reach the roof of the World, but you will see it. The 17 day’s trips visits the villages and Monasteries of Changma Bhandar, Thupten Choling, Junbesi, Taksindhu, Chewang Sallery and Phaplu are main Gompas in this trip.

The trek starts from Jiri, which is 182 km. east from Kathmandu. The trail starts from Jiri, Shivalaya and climb to Chisapani and Camp at Thodung village. There is a Cheese factory in Thodung. The trail goes through the forest of Hemlock, Oak, Pine and other Himalayan trees. The Gudel is last Sherpa village in this route. After two days walk reach to Holly place called Sangay Phuck. There is a big Cave of rock with fingerprint of Sangay. The another biggest and famous place is called Thupten Choling Gompa, there are many Buddhist Monks and a incarnation Lama. This is one of the famous Gompa in Solu Khumbu area. The Junbesi, also one of the famous Sherpa village in this area. There is a very old and famous Monastery to visit.. After visit all of these famous Buddhist Gompa, the trail goes toward Dhudha Kunda which is 15000 feet bank of Numbur and Karyalung Himal. This is sacred place of Hindu pilgrimage and many devoted people trek to this Glacial Lake of Dhudha Kunda to bath every August. On the way to Phaplu and Chiwang Gompa, the trail goes through the forest. The Chiwang is a famous for the old Gompa.

At the end you will have fly out from Phaplu to Kathmandu.
