This trek is similar to the 14 day trek to Everest Base Camp Trek for a description of the Everest region please refer to E.B.C. trek 14 day itinerary.It differs in days because we have buit an itineray that includes some time Kathmandu that will also allow you time to explore the valley where there is so much

cultural along with natural beauty to discover.It also leaves a free day in Kathmanu at the end of the trek to wind down a little and reflect on your Everest experience.
The trek to Everest Base Camp goes right into the heart of Himalayas taking you through the famous Sherpa trading town of Namche and to Thangboche the world’s highest Buddhist monastery and on to Everest Base Camp itself where Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgey set off on their epic journey to the summit of Mt. Everest in 1953. 

Itinerary in Detail
Day 01 :          Arrive in Kathmandu Arrive  Kathmandu International Airport, MTM staff meet and drive to Hotel on bb basis.
Day 02 :          Kathmandu: sightseeing and trek preparation Kathmandu full day sightseeing start from Boudhhanath, pashupatinath, Patan City and Swoyambhunath. O/N in Hotel on bb basis.
Day 03 :          Kathmandu – Lukla (40 min flight)   Phakding; 3-4 hours trek (Trekking times only; stops not included)
Early morning flight to Lukla (2,800m) final preparations for trek starts. Pass Chaurikharka village and make a descent towards the Dudhkosi Ghat (2,530m) The trail follows the bank of the Dudhkosi River until Phakding (2,652m)

Day 04 :          Phakding – Namche Bazaar: 5-6 hours 

The trail crosses Dudhkoshi River. long suspension bridge, along the river to Hilary’s Suspension Bridge the trail climbs further from here to Namche Bazaar.

Day 05 :          Namche Bazaar: Rest day

This day is a rest day taken for the acclimatization, day hike to Thame and exploring Namche Bazaar known as the gateway to Mt. Everest.

Day.06            Namche – Phortse Tenga: Leaving the main trail North to Mt. Everest, we climb high above the river valleys then drop steeply to a Campsite below the Village of Phortse. A short day with spectacular views of Ama Dablam (22490 ft.) Thamserku (21680 ft.) and Kangtaige (22240 ft.).

Day 07:           Phortse Tenga – Pheriche

Day 08:           Pheriche – Labuche
Before reaching Labuche at 4930m., the trail climb at Phalng Karma at 4340 m., then Dhugla. Then follow a stream until you reach the camp.

Day 09 :          Lubuche – Everest Base Camp – Gorakhshep 5-6 hour
The trail continues climb to Gorak Shep and then to the Everest Base Camp (5,357m) rocky and glacial trails where climbers gather for summiting Everest/ trek back O/N at Gorak Shep (5,160m).

Day 10 :          Gorak Shep-Kalapatthar- Lubuche: 5-6 hour
Early morning hike to Kalapatthar/takes a couple of hours to walk up to the famous viewing point of Kalapatthar (Black Rock) 5,545m) a small peak best views of Mt. Everest, Pumori and Ama Dablam without climbing and return to Lobuje (4930m)

Day 11:          
Labuche – Dingboche /Chukung: A long, but gradual day, hiking south of the Khumbu Glacier to lunch at Dingboche. After lunch, we will hike east into the Chhukung Valley, which is the last of the glacier valley we will explore. Chhukung (1550 ft.) lies directly under as incredible rock wall that links Nuptse (25850 ft.) with Lotse (27890 ft.)

A hard and dramatic hike which climbs nearly 2700 ft. from camp and ends at a small rock plateau from where one with a little imagination can nearly touch the Nuptse-Lotse wall. Views of Makalu, Pumori, Ama Dablam and Island peak are superb. There are several others less demanding options in the Chhukung Valley.

Day. 12:          Dingboche / Chukung  – Tyangboch:
Certainly one of the most beautiful valley walks on earth ending at camp in the lovely meadows of the Thyangboche Monastery. The singular beauty of Ama Dablam commands the entire day.

Day 13:           Tyangboche – Namche via Khumjung a very old famous Sherpa village.

Day 14 :          Namche Bazaar – Phakding: 5-6 hours
Trail steeply descends to the Hillary Suspension Bridge and then continues on an easy natural trail. overnight 2,652m)

Day 15 :          Phakding – Lukla: 3-4 hours

Final day back to Lukla (2,800m)arrival in Lukla  and time to relax. check your flight for next day

Day 16 :          morning fly to Lukla- Kathmandu

Early morning flight to Kathmandu. Our staff pick up from airport and transfer hotel. rest of the day free for your shopping and relaxation.
O/N in Hotel on bb basis.

 

Day 17:           Kathmandu extra day for Incase flight problem from Lukla.

O/N in Hotel on bb basis

Day 18:           Final dept. to your destination.
